Lydia Kulesov is from a family of artists, literary scholars & business entrepreneurs. Her father was a photographer and landscape painter. Given a camera as a youngster, she went out with him photographing, developing an eye for light, form and composition at an early age. 

Lydia received her B.S. and M.A. degrees in design from the University of Minnesota, where she taught classes for over fifteen years. She has exhibited her art work regionally and nationally, and was the recipient of grants, awards and commissions including an Individual Artist Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Her work has been featured in a variety of media and publications including a video produced by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Lydia started Greenway River Gallery in 2009, an online gallery representing her own and other artists work.

Lydia was born in Montreal, Canada of Slavic and Siberian descent. She lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband, a fine arts photographer and digital media consultant.
